Voters Still Want their Ballots Opened

Today the Al Franken campaign assisted in the filing of a petition on behalf of 64 Minnesota voters who believe their absentee ballots were improperly rejected for a myriad of reasons.

Their counter-arguments contained affidavits are varied
: some assert that their signatures do in fact match between their absentee ballot envelopes and their voter registration cards.  Others argue, using the state voter file, that they were in fact registered on Election Day.  Some are still unaware of why their absentee ballots were rejected in the first place.  12 of the 64 ballot were rejected by the Norm Coleman campaign during the Minnesota Supreme Court ordered statewide review of rejected absentee ballots.

Per Minnesota Statute 204B.44 ERRORS AND OMISSIONS; REMEDY the Supreme Court must now immediately set hearings for these cases.  The court is then instructed to issue a "a final order for appropriate relief as soon as possible after the hearing".
